Community Compliance Officer

The compliance team take pride in offering high levels of service to the local community and ensuring safe and legal practices throughout the municipality. Our client have a requirement for a new Community Compliance Officer to join and support them in keeping up with their increased workload. You will be working through Hays Recruitment on a temporary contract with a possibility for extension or transitioning to working permanently with the Council.
Your new role Your duties on a daily basis will include all or some of the below: reactive and proactive patrols address complaints/infringements and determine a relevant course of action report instances of overhanging vegetation, hard rubbish, abandoned vehicles, litter, etc. pet registration and respond to complaints in regards to nuisance animals What you'll need to succeed You will have worked for a Council in a Local Laws role and be able to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in relation to Council's Local Laws. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner.
