Maintenance Scheduler



Rare University opportunity, contract role, great rates to $700/day, 5 minutes from Redfern Station Working as part of the Campus Infrastructure & Services (CIS) team under the broad direction of the Head of Facilities Management you will be responsible for the various evaluation work streams in data analytics and systems as well as providing management expertise and leadership to the team. You will develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and tasks and schedule planned maintenance activities into a program of work using Archibus. Supporting the Head of FM you will manage the planned maintenance program for multiple outsourced services providers delivering facilities management and building services maintenance.

You will improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. You will also directly oversee the development of work schedules in the Strategy team and be jointly responsible in bringing effective capacity utilisation, reliability, and life cycle asset management. You will: Develop both long and short-range plans & schedules, ensuring that safety is considered when developing every job plan.

Provide effective leadership, management guidance and support to the delivery of long and short-term plans Manage reporting for CIS based on KPIs and Strategic Initiative Indicators Lead the development and implementation of ongoing programs, schemes, and initiatives Lead communications and develop material regarding all scheduling, reporting and system for CIS Build relationships and manage communications with stakeholders Manage risk and workplace health and safety for the unit and related entities. You will have: Relevant degree or similar and substantial experience in scheduling, facilities management, CMMS or equivalent competency Demonstrated technical experience in multiple building services, infrastructure assets and maintenance scheduling Demonstrated experience in asset data gathering and data management within a CMMS framework Highly developed computer and software utilisation skills Proven initiative, analytical and problem solving skills Experience using project management methodology to manage resources, timelines, and project milestones, and provide accountability for the progress and delivery of the program Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and relevant computer applications applicable to a facilities and building management environment. Initially it is for a 3-6 month contract but is very likely to lead to a much longer engagement. As such is only open to candidates with full working rights.
