Your new role Your duties on a daily basis will be working as a Local Laws Officer including all or some of the tasks listed below: investigate, promote compliance and issue infringements if necessary in relation to Local Laws animal pick ups/drop offs pet registration/door knocks reactive and proactive patrols to identify possible breaches of statues and to educate the general public and other local laws duties (eg, offences and complaints - litter, ABV, overhanging vegetation) What you'll need to succeed Having worked for a Council in a Local Laws role, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in relation to Council's Local Laws. You will possess: Excellent communication skills - both oral and written and will able to able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner Desirable: You will either 5 years experience in animal control or have completed a cert IV in animal management and regulations or Local Government (animal management) or equivalent.
