The Opportunity As one of the country's leading and preferred defence partners, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) develops and sustains leading edge technologies for some of Australia's largest and most complex defence projects. BDA is undergoing significant growth and is looking for passionate Systems Engineers to join our team. We are seeking technical professionals interested in working collaboratively across an interdisciplinary and multinational team on cutting edge systems, and developing exciting new technologies, to support sustainment and upgrades of the Australian Wedgetail fleet.
We are seeking a Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our team, at either our Williamtown, Adelaide or Brisbane site. Responsibilities As a Test/Verification Engineer in our team, you will be at the centre of all testing, verification and validation activities being undertaken to maintain the Wedgetail aircraft at the forefront of Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) technology. You will work with the various engineering disciplines and Integrated Product Teams to play your part in planning and executing flight testing and ground testing on aircraft; and ground based assets.
This role is an integral part of the team responsible for developing and executing the overall test program as part of integrating the system on the aircraft and ground assets and delivering to our customer commitments. Experience/Qualifications Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence outcomes in a team environment A continuous improvement mindset Experience in complex engineering projects Tertiary degree qualification in an engineering or related technical discipline Experience executing and planning flight and ground test activities on airborne assets would be highly desirabl Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
