ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION APPRENTICESHIP - TRONOX COOLJARLOO
Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Tronox, are offering the opportunity to gain a national recognised qualification as an Electrical Instrumentation Apprentice, which will be delivered over a four (4) year period at the Cooljarloo Mine Site, north of Cataby WA. Tronox is a fully integrated titanium minerals producer and pigment manufacturer. Across our Australian operations, we extract and process rich mineral sands into a range of valuable products including ilmenite, zircon, rutile and titanium dioxide pigment which are then exported to international markets.
Our sites are part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, the world's leading integrated manufacturer of titanium dioxide. Sites are based on Brand Highway (Wheatbelt), Kwinana, Bunbury, Australind, Kemerton all of which are within 2 hours drive of Perth together with two mine sites based in the Murry Basin NSW. The Australian sites form part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, one of the world's largest producers of titanium dioxide pigment, with a global customer base.
The Role Located just north of Cataby on Brand Highway, Tronox's Cooljarloo mines heavy mineral concentrate using dredging techniques. Please note, this position is residential/local, however employees are also offered accommodation at the mine's camp which is located approximately 10kms south of the mine, not far from inland Dandaragan Skills and experience required: Completion of Secondary Schooling to a Year 12 level Work experience or Pre-apprentice qualification in Electro-technology - Cert II (desirable) Experience and knowledge of basic electrical work A willingness to work as part of a team Basic Mechanical understanding A current C class driver's licence and own transport Motivated to pursue a career in the Electrical/ Instrumentation trade area.
