PROCESS RESOURCING TRAINEESHIP - TRONOX CHANDALA PLANT
Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Tronox, are offering the opportunity to gain a national recognised qualification as a Process Operator, which will be delivered over a two (2) year period at the Chandala Processing Plant in Muchea WA. Tronox is a fully integrated titanium minerals producer and pigment manufacturer. Across our Australian operations, we extract and process rich mineral sands into a range of valuable products including ilmenite, zircon, rutile and titanium dioxide pigment which are then exported to international markets.
Our sites are part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, the world's leading integrated manufacturer of titanium dioxide. Sites are based on Brand Highway (Chandala and Cooljarloo - Wheatbelt), Kwinana, Bunbury, Australind, Kemerton all of which are within 2 hours drive from Perth together with two mine sites based in the Murry Basin NSW. The Australian sites form part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, one of the world's largest producers of titanium dioxide pigment, with a global customer base.
The Role Located at Muchea, 60kms north of Perth Tronox's Chandala Processing Plant includes a dry mill, a synthetic rutile plant and a residue management plant. The dry mill separates the heavy mineral concentrates into different products. Please note, these positions are residential/local only.
No housing or housing allowance is offered as part of these contracts. Who we're looking for: It's important you're willing to learn and develop your skills over this traineeship and have a good attitude and strong work ethic. You will be willing to work as part of an experienced team, under close supervision and also at times independently.
In addition, you will possess: Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills Have great attention to detail and good problem solving skills Have the ability to meet strict deadlines and cooperate with others Be punctual, reliable and presentable Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of relevant workplace health and safety requirements Successfully completed secondary education Have a current drivers licence and reliable transport Successfully pass pre-employment background checks, medical, drug and alcohol screening and site inductions Skills and Experience Completion of Secondary Schooling (Minimum) Ability to work a rostered 9/day fortnight - 5 day on/2 days off and 4 days on/3 days off (8.444 hours/day) Have a basic mechanical understanding A current WA driver's licence and own transport Strong commitment to safety and driven work ethic The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening tests.
