Project Scheduler / Planner - Sunny Coast
Great opportunity for a Part Time Scheduler / Planner to join a progressive Project Delivery Company and help us deliver Road Projects We have been invited to tender for a role on the Sunshine Coast and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Scheduler / Planning Consultant to join us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 12 months with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects. The position will be responsible for providing key support to Professional Project teams across the range of transport infrastructure project activities. Mandatory Experience Min 5 years’ commercial planning, scheduling & reporting experience for road & transport infrastructure civil construction projects for or with DTMR with a demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in the use of the Oracle Primavera Suite.
Qualifications Technical & /or project management qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution or a qualification in a relevant scheduling or transport infrastructure construction discipline. Duties Produce and update detailed work programs in collaboration with Project Managers in Primavera P6; Ensure compliance with processes, systems and procedures, activity resources & reporting. Work with Managers to establish works priorities, and relevant constraints.
Oversee development of key program milestones and monitor and report on these. Produce timely and accurate analysis of the work program. Prepare time recovery strategy options where delays may impact the completion date of projects.
Assist Project Managers on the program to resolve scheduling issues. Train, support, mentor & coach staff in general scheduling practise and in the use of Primavera P6. Manage the development of the program’s baseline.
Produce management reports on program time, and cost status. Prepare written instructions for program specific management plans and procedures as required; and Ensure scheduling business rules / methodologies are implemented /executed to best practice. The role requires: Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy of all work produced; Excellent time management skills conscious of critical & often conflicting time frames.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with all stakeholders. The proposed hours are nominally over 2 days per week, which could be varied by negotiation from week to week. The roles are Sunshine Coast based.
