This role of Senior Accountant will join the finance team on a 6-month contract, until October 2020. You will be responsible for performing complex balance sheet reconciliations and your auditing background will enable you to resolve complex accounting issues. This role provides proactive and innovative support to the Financial Controller.
Senior Accountant will consist of the following duties but not limited to; Prepare accounts for end of financial year; Work with auditors; Reconciliation of all GL accounts; Work with the Chair Board and Board members in presenting the final audited accounts Lodge final BAS return Work with Lawyers to help wind up recently acquired entity Prepare final monthly management accounts Reconcile Management Accounts at June to final Statutory accounts Assist in the close of banks Work with relevant statutory authorities Upload final annual accounts to relevant government authorities including ACNC; and Other duties as required. Ideal Candidate Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or related field. CPA or CA Qualification Minimum 3 years experience in financial/management accounting position - you MUST have high attention to details and have a good understanding of complex accounting functions Aged care background will be considered advantageous Experience in year-end audit and able to work with auditors to resolve complex accounting issues Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and competent working knowledge of TechnologyOne software will be considered advantageous Desirable - Experience in preparing community services acquittals Ability to multi-task, be outcome driven and proactive Strong communication skills You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this role.
