The Client Our client owns and manages a diversified portfolio of assets around the globe. Their portfolio of shopping centers ranges from neighborhood to Regional assets, across the eastern seaboard.

Their leaders, known for being nimble, decisive, and fast, and have operated very efficient teams that achieve their goals. The Role Due to an internal promotion, they have begun to shortlist for a Property Accountant to work across all of the financials for a key regional asset. Your days will include but not be limited to the following: Budgeting: Providing guidance and recommendations to the centre team on income and expense budgets Assisting the Centre Manager in the preparation, completion, and delivery of the annual budgets and business plans.

Monthly management reporting of variance to budget Financial Management: Manage monthly accrual financial processes and forecasting. Provide financial analysis to drive better outcomes that influence both Centre Managers and Property Investment Managers. Conduct regular meetings with Centre staff teams on the delivery of finance responsibilities.

Expense Management: Provide support to the centre based teams to actively manage expenses in line with the property budget and forecast Assist in the preparation and presentation of outgoing reconciliations to the client’s auditors or as required. Perform a ‘reasonableness check’ on your property in preparation for the year-end and the outgoings audit. Assist operations managers in the delivery of the repairs and maintenance budgets.

The Candidate To be considered for this opportunity you will have prior experience within a similar role, ideally within the property industry, along with this you will also possess the following attributes: Qualified Accountant Experience working in property, on asset/s Strong numerical ability Excellent verbal & written communications skills to liaise with key stakeholders As this is an internal move you will benefit from a thorough handover from the current incumbent and have access to their expertise as you settle in. You will have an extremely broad role and be exposed to plenty of continued learning to elevate your skills and experience to the next level.
