State Government Department seeking Compliance Officer for a fixed term contract in the CBD. Your new company This State Government department focuses on buildings owned by the government including offices, hospitals and centres and ensures that they are safe from diseases, including asbestos. They are located in the CBD and the successful candidate will be able to WFH in the current conditions.
This is a fixed term contract at a VPS 3 level. Your new role As the Compliance Officer you will undertake data analysis and data entry duties to ensure compliance conditions are met in the department. Your responsibilities will include: Collating and managing data related to Asbestos related diseases Data interpretations and analysis Liaising with external auditors to ensure data and reporting validations Liaising with various internal departments and subsidiary organisations during the data collections phase Coordinating and maintaining accurate reporting and records management What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in data entry, data analysis and compliance is needed to be successful in this role along with: Willingness and confidence to learn Problem solving and solutions focused attitude Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and ideally experience with Salesforce - skills testing will be done Accuracy and attention to detail Ideally you will have knowledge of building or construction terminology, knowledge of asbestos containing materials and experience in VPS/Government roles What you'll get in return In return you will get to work in a exciting department with a great team culture.
