Health, safety and environment (HSE) is critical at Transurban, not just on our roads, bridges and tunnels, but across our project sites and corporate environments too The HSE Business Partner supports the Queensland Leadership Team (QLT) and matrix functions to build a positive HSE culture.
This integral role will integrate the Transurban HSE strategic plan within the market and ensure Transurban HSE systems and standards are applied where relevant across assets The impact you?ll have:. You?ll provide effective leadership and coaching to the Queensland Leadership team (QLT). You?ll ensure the HSE team is action orientated and customer focused on supporting the operational needs of the business.
You?ll enhance and support the positive HSE culture within market leadership teams. You?ll encourage and foster a strong HSE culture within the assets through sharing of learnings and other forums. You?ll support the continuous improvement of the integrated HSE management system.
You?ll participate in internal and external audits and post audit continuous improvement initiatives. You?ll lead the assurance of high risk tasks in projects in accordance with the relevant HSE plans. Being a strong partner you?ll develop and maintain key business relationships and support the HSE function in being a solutions focused, high performing team.
The talents you?ll bring:. You?ll bring with you significant experience within an HSE focused role with working knowledge and application of HSE legislation, standards and codes of practice. You?ll be experienced within an operational environment or major infrastructure projects environment.
You?ll have tertiary qualifications in environment, safety, risk or engineering with a sound technical approach. You?ll have well-developed project management and change management skills with a strong understanding of culture improvement programs and techniques. We?ll look to you to implement and continuously improve HSE management systems.
You?ll have a strong understanding of risk management processes in an operational and project environment. You?ll possess effective leadership skills with the ability to operate and influence at a senior management level as well as previous experience leading HSE workshops and forums. You?ll have the ability to communicate sensitively and considerately with stakeholders maintaining professionalism, integrity and confidentially.
Above all you?ll be passionate about all things HSE and will act as an advocate internally and externally. Please note, this role is currently located in Eight Mile Plains but will have the exciting opportunity to relocate to our brand new office space in Brisbane CBD in June 2020.About us.
