Our iron ore mining operations in South Australia’s Middleback Ranges, south of Whyalla, consist of three primary mine sites: Iron Baron, Iron Knob and the South Middleback Ranges. whyalla.com About the role As a Project Coordinator, you will be a part of the Sustaining Capital and Projects team to provide support to the Project Manager in delivery of construction works for assigned projects safely, on time to approved budget and quality requirements.The key responsibilities for this position: Development of the construction execution plan, and construction scope of works Coordination of all site works associated with the project including works executed by contractors and internal service providers Development and maintenance of safe systems of work compliant with SIMEC Mining Safety systems Monitoring of quality requirements and identify any deviations from scope of work during construction, and ensure timely completion of Inspection and Test Plan by the contractor Provide assistance to Project Engineer during the commissioning phase of the project and ensure all contractors and internal service providers comply with the specific commissioning safe systems of work Participate in project risk assessments and design reviews About your experience To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following experience: Trade Qualifications – Electrical Demonstrated experience in a construction, mining or heavy industrial environment, in both worker and supervision roles Knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards, especially AS/NZS 3000 Electrical Installations, AS/NZS 4024 Safety of Machinery Sound knowledge of site electrical quality manual QM37, and Contractor Management CoP which references important electrical codes Demonstrated experience in project controlling and working to a project schedule Display safety as a core value Next steps Across our different business units, we offer career opportunities for people who share our d....
