Leadership position at a private hospital. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Nurse Leader with proven clinical experience to join the management team at a private hospital in Sydney. THE POSITION As the After Hours Manager you will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of all hospital services after hours in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Director of Clinical Services (DCS).

You will ensure optimum efficiency in the provision of holistic, professional and quality patient-centred care. You will utilize effective communication and management skills to ensure all available resources are utilized to achieve a supportive, mental and social environment that ensures overall wellbeing of all consumers of the Hospital in the absence of the Executive. THE CANDIDATE As the successful candidate you will demonstrate a commitment to quality care and the best patient outcomes, as well as demonstrate the following: Current registration with APHRA; Degree in Nursing and Health Management or Equivalent; Minimum of 5 years' Post Graduate experience in multiple clinical settings; Advanced Life Support Qualification; Exceptional collaborative Interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient-centred care; Understanding and commitment to all National Standards and implementing policies including but not limited to Quality and Risk, Infection Control and Work Health and Safety; Experience with computerised reporting systems; Post Graduate Degree/Certificate in Nursing or equivalent desirable; Comprehensive understanding of financial and human resources management principles.

THE FACILITY Hospital, located south-east of Sydney, is an acute facility with 7 operating theatres, 2 Catheter Laboratories, a renowned Maternity Unit and Level 2 Intensive Care (ICU) and Coronary Care Units (CCU). The hospital specializes in complex Orthopaedic Trauma, Urology, Colorectal, Plastic, Bariatric, Gynaecology, General and Dental surgical procedures.
