Leadership position at a private hospital. An exciting opportunity exists for a professional, highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse Grade 5 to undertake a role of After Hours Coordinator at a private hospital in Shepparton. This is a Permanent Part-Time position with negotiable hours.
THE POSITION This is a key leadership role that is accountable for effective, efficient and timely bed management strategies, patient flow and resource allocation after hours. The role requires working with and supporting other managers in planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services within the hospital. The position will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services & Nursing Unit Managers and would suit persons wishing to take a step in pursuit of a higher-level management career.
This is role works across a rotating 7-day roster including afternoons, nights and weekends. THE CANDIDATE Essential Criteria: Current registration with AHPRA; Minimum 5 years of acute hospital experience; Previous experience in a management position; Excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills; An understanding of human resource management practices; Knowledge related to legislation and policy that governs nursing practice and contemporary nursing issues; An ability to act as an effective role model in the area of clinical practice; Computer literacy; Postgraduate qualifications in management or working towards desirable; Previous experience working in a private hospital environment desirable.
