HSSE Advisor



Wood requires HSSE Advisors who aspires to be part of a team delivering powerful results We look for innovative ideas and an agile approach to deliver the best possible outcomes and offer you an opportunity to progress and thrive by working collectively and making an active contribution This is a site-based role Join our collaborative team working side by side with a global specialist chemicals company on a new and innovative project in the growing Lithium resources market to design engineer and construct a world class processing facility The greenfield project targeted to go into production in 2020 will produce Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate from a 2 train processing plant with a forecasted 60 000 per annum (Tpa) output Further expansion plans into 2025 will see a total production of 100 000 tonnes per annum The plant is to be constructed at the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area approximately 160 km south of Perth Western Australia and 17 km north-east of the thriving regional centre of Bunbury Position Specifics and Deliverables- Providing professional health and safety and environmental advice to the Project - Ensure contractor compliance as specified in the Health & Safety Management Plan - Liaise closely construction supervision and provide guidance as necessary - Assist in gathering data for incorporating in monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with WOOD reporting requirements - Implement and monitor WOOD’S Safety Shield strategy that will assist in improving compliance and sustained performance - Monitor the efficiency of HSE programmes initiated by contractors - Conduct the focus audits as per audit schedule and reports - Monitor and advice personnel on changing Health Safety and Environmental legislation including Codes of Practice - Monitor corrective actions from audits work place inspections Heart cards to ensure items are closed out within appropriate timeframe - Assist in hazard accident incident investigations including near misses Skills Qualifications - Certificate IV in OH&S or above - Experience broad understanding and good working knowledge of relevant HSSE regulations management systems procedures and instructions - Ability to develop and implement campaigns and training programs as required to achieve HSSE targets - Demonstrated ability to analyse interpret and report on statistical data - Demonstrated ability to relate confidently to people at all levels of industry An ability to listen and identify key issues and to communicate complex information clearly - Thorough knowledge of and hands on experience with computers & associated software packages - High level of interpersonal skills - Analytical decision making skills - Intermediate computer skills - Formal root cause analysis training for investigations and ability to lead investigations Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role If you’re an experienced HSSE Advisor ready for your next project then we are keen to hear fr.
