The role will focus on creating and promoting compliance awareness through training and communications and works with the retail energy business to ensure that effective compliance systems are in place which complies with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, codes and internal policies including: Management of Regulatory Compliance Portfolios Management of Compliance Issues, including expert advice to resolve issues and advice on obligations; Support the retail business in identifying and mitigating regulatory exposures in key initiatives including managing the resolution of issues as they arise and conduct assessments required to ensure compliance; Identify new regulatory exposures through conduct of regular regulatory assessments with the retail energy business in accordance with the company’s general regulatory policy; Maintain an accurate events calendar for compliance reporting requirements to be shared across the retail business unit; and Raise overall employee awareness of compliance obligations through various activities including but not limited to periodic reviews of procedures within the assigned portfolio to confirm compliance.

Coordinate Regulatory Compliance Maintain the regulatory compliance management systems and ensure all compliance exposures are identified and actions plans are monitored to address compliance issues; Ensure retail regulatory registers are updated and responsible owners for regulatory obligations are maintained; Use the compliance database to ensure all assigned issues and their current status is in the database for tracking purposes; Support the retail energy business in continuous improvement of current compliance controls and resolution of non-compliant issues; Oversee actioning and closure of compliance exposures; Support Retail in meeting requirements through the jurisdictional concession schemes; and Review Wrongful Disconnection Payments for compliance trends. Compliance Reporting Coordinate external KPI reporting requirements; Use the compliance database to ensure all assigned requirements and their current status is in the database for tracking purposes; Liaise with key data providers to e.
