Turbine Engineer - Asset Specialist
Join a premier organisation ASAP Our client is a leading energy provider in Australia, and they have been at the forefront of energy innovation in Australia. Due to some capital programs and upgrades, they are looking for a Turbine Specialist to join an experienced maintenance team in the Hunter Valley. This role is key to the integrity of the plant equipment.
Purpose of this Role: Lead the asset strategy management and planning. Plant integrity and technical compliance. Day-to-day engineering & technical support to the operations, maintenance and project teams.
Lead the scope development for Turbines and the associated plant for outages and major projects. Ensure timely technical support during the execution of outages and major projects. Skills and Experience Required: Essential is a Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar degree Working knowledge of power station plant or similar heavy industry.
Advanced knowledge of Steam Turbines & rotating machineries. Sound knowledge of asset management process, its development and implementation. Working knowledge of maintenance practices, operational and engineering processes.
Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environment. Strong ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, rules, standards and regulations. High level communication skills are essential Ability to identify and resolve engineering issues, often complex in nature.
Strong team work ethic and ability to positively influence others. This role would suit someone with several years experience but with leadership potential or a senior engineer with strong strategic and planning background with rotating equipment.
