Please note this role is being offered on a maximum term contract to March 2021 About the Role: This Buyer position is responsible to assist with the strategic sourcing & procurement for Facilities, I&E Maintenance, Indirect , and Inventory Materials for our Southern Operations. The Buyer ensures Procurement complies with the Site’s, safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards to ensure our continued ability to deliver product to our customers. Key Roles and Accountabilities Negotiation of lowest cost materials Building strategic relationships with suppliers Support for local supply chain lead and teams Leading the analysis of and evaluation of quotes to determine optimum value Reviews purchase requisitions and creates purchase order Identifies potential suppliers and develops, reviews, and issues requests for quotations Managing and expediting material orders Assisting with Logistic requirement of the business Administrative support where required About You: To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience: Minimum 3 years purchasing experience Excellent written and oral communication Excellent people skills and ability to work with internal customers Well developed numeric ability organisational skills Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Working knowledge of inventory and maintenance requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team Working SAP knowledge (preferred) Experience building procurement strategies (preferred) Procurement or Supply Chain qualification (preferred) Please note this role is being offered on a maximum term contract to March 2021 .
