Permanent role with certified training opportunities Exceptional company culture An exciting opportunity has now become available for an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to assist our world leading client with their operations in the Burnett region of Queensland.

This is a hands-on role that is responsible for the hands on control and coordination of the trade team and apprentices too ensure the timely correction of defects and application of the site preventative maintenance program. You will lead and perform all breakdown and preventative activities to ensure optimum performance and minimal disruptions. The roles requires you to be on call and also work autonomously in a small team whilst adhering to deadlines and budgets.

Your duties will include but not be limited to: Deliver ongoing support and promotion of the company's OH&S, quality, and environmental policies Attend to plant breakdowns and effectively manage unplanned work to meet plant utilisation and efficiency requirements Provide leadership and effectively manage maintenance trades, including contractors, to ensure completion of planned work on time, within budget and to best practice maintenance standards Ensure all maintenance equipment is kept in safe working order Ensure all SOPs, operational manuals and supplier information is up to date Provide effective communication with key contacts Assist with key administrative functions, including payroll records, budget review, maintenance reports and staff reviews Facilitate the development and improvement of the site's preventative maintenance system, and the reduction of (unplanned) breakdown work Assist with implementing systems and training in best practice maintenance practices, which comply with industry/trade legislative requirements Assist with plant optimisation projects to further the efficiency of the plant Provide high level technical support to both maintenance and operations staff on repair, maintenance and equipment availability. Additionally, provide advice to resolve equipment failure or potential equipment failure. Your Skills & Experience With a dual qualification in mechanical and electrical, this role is ideally suited to someone with experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.

Highly organised, you'll be competent with pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, packaging machinery, process and control, pumps and valves. Joining a highly supportive environment, to be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following criteria: A trade qualification in Fitting (Dual trade Fitter/Electrician preferred) Industrial/manufacturing experience (preferred) Electrical license (advantageous) Experience with CMMS and computer literacy Forklift and driver's license (preferred) A commitment to responsible saf.
