CONTRACTS MANAGER - NIOA (BENALLA) NIOA is Australasia's leading supplier of firearms, ammunition, and related products, servicing the commercial, law enforcement and military markets to the Australian and New Zealand Defence and Law Enforcement communities. NIOA is expanding its operations in Benalla, located in regional Victoria, and is experiencing a period of significant growth. Multiple local employment opportunities are arising for various roles within the Benalla operation.
NIOA is currently seeking a Contracts Manager to successfully manage the Contractual requirements for the Benalla site as the primary point of contact for the Commonwealth of Australia. You will provide effective advice, analysis, and support to the Director of Operations in the management of all contract related activities. Principal Activities & Responsibilities: Manage the contractual reporting data and prepare contractual reporting information, including safety, munitions production and performance measurement; presenting the information where required.
i. Reporting and monitoring of terms of Munitions Manufacturing Arrangements (MMA). ii.
Ensuring compliance and performance in accordance with obligations of MMA. iii.Ensuring performance measures are monitored, reported and reviewed.
Stakeholder Engagement: i. Interface with Commonwealth, and other Benalla Tenants. ii.
Establish a well-informed work environment by interfacing with customers and contractors as required to ensure activities are aligned with the conditions, directives and needs of the contract(s). Proactively provide advice and support to management on the content of the contract(s) and associated documentation. Significantly contribute to the writing and ongoing maintenance of relevant plans and procedures.
Supporting the Director Operations, Benalla, in the development of future Business Plans for the Benalla Facility. Experience and Qualifications 10-years of Defence or related industry experience in the management of contracts or supply. Degree in Law, Business, Finance or Business Management or related skills and experience is desired.
Proven experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills in successfully leading, managing, negotiating and administrating contracts. Previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suite of templates. Strong communication skills with highly tuned ability to maintain control of self in complex discussions.
