APS5 Project Officer
Working at the forefront of one of Australia's most highly regarded topics. Your new company The Department is seeking a highly experienced APS5 Project Officer for a period of 6 months. They are working at the forefront of delivering a high level of policies and programs to the public contributing to their health and well-being.
Your new role Your new role as a Project Officer is a diverse role that would suit applicants looking to build upon their experience in project management and support. This role will involve working closely on a day-to-day basis with other staff in the section. The successful applicant will be required to: Providing a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope; Preparing and maintaining project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes; and Supporting contract management and stakeholder liaison especially in relation to the negotiation of a new contract with the vendor of an ICT solution, and monitoring vendor performance to ensure contractual Key Performance Indicators are being met What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will: Demonstrated strategic, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills; Strong communication skills with highly developed writing skills, including attention to detail; Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines; Demonstrated ability to be a team member and work collaboratively to meet agreed goals and objectives; A self-starter with the ability to work with limited direction, when required; Capacity to acquire knowledge quickly; and Highly motivated, engaged, flexible and resilient.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
