About the role The registered nurse supports excellence in consumer focused nursing care and patient outcomes, is a competent clinician who provides nursing care with clinical competence and capability, optimising access to care services. The registered nurse works in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide person and family centred, quality, safe patient care, with special attention to treatment and risk issues pertaining to the forensic/classified patient. This position may be required to work across the Division of Mental Health and Specialised Services.

About You The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Contemporary clinical knowledge in the area of mental health nursing, delivering competent nursing care in complex situations while providing support to other team members. Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Ability build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.

High standard of written and oral communication skills. A commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to quality improvement processes. Ability to provide clinical education and support.

About Forensic and Secure Services (FSS) Forensic and Secure Services (FSS) provides specialist secure rehabilitation and forensic mental health services and host the only High Secure Inpatient Service in Queensland. Services within FSS operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Benefits 17.

Vaccination Preventable Disease This role is designated as ‘Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role'.
