NDIS Disability Support Worker - Cairns FNQ
HCA are looking for Male and Female Disability Support Workers to provide support to our NDIS Participants in Cairns QLD. About the Role: Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a national organisation & registered NDIS provider specialising in providing supports both in home and community access, to NDIS participants in the Cairns and outer regional area. Your duties will be to mainly support participants in their home and community and will include assistance with their daily living, domestic assistance, personal care, transport, and other aspects of daily living as specified by their NDIS plan.

The Role - Disability Support Worker: • Looking for support workers to commit to regular and consistent shift schedules. • Support individuals with intellectual, mental health and/or physical disabilities.
• Must be creative and resourceful to assist customers achieve their goals. • Passionate, empathic & committed to provide the best care to our participants • Delivering high-quality person-centred support • Daily living assistance in the home and community • Support physical health and emotional well-being • Assisting individuals to and from community-based activities and appointments. • Complete all relevant documentation and reporting as required Experience and mandatory Requirements: • Cert III in Disability or Individual Support or higher is highly regarded • Must have 6 months paid experience caring for people with a disability • Experience in disability care including participants with challenging behaviours • Flexibility to work across days and weekends / sleepovers and public holidays • Experience in supporting participants from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
