Fire Safety Engineer | Associate Director | Auckland, NZ
Yes this ad is posted in Melbourne and yes it's for a role in Auckland, NZ. Do read on and it'll all make sense. As a half kiwi by marriage I am well placed to give you the following reasons why you might want to make the move and take up this opportunity.
And none of which are related to NZ handling the current crisis better than us and as such most likely bouncing back quicker than us. Firstly, New Zealand coins make sense, the bigger ones are worth more. Secondly, they have Jacinda and thirdly yes, I know we have better cricketers, but their cricketers are better people.
In general, they are just better people and you know it. Now you want to move there, you'll need to know about the company. I'm not sugar coating anything here or saying these guys are "future proof" but they are faring better than most and are confident to rebound stronger than most.
Due to this well-placed optimism they are still on the lookout for an Associate / Associate Director / Principal level Fire Safety Engineer to Lead their National Fire Group. This group is already well established with some of the leading technical engineers in the industry. Why don't they want this job? Not a silly question but as you know, not all technical guru's want to be Team Leaders.
It's not easy being like you, a technical guru who has strong leadership qualities. I'm talking directly with you now, which I'm sure my English teacher wouldn't approve as I've changed the narrative. I share an office with a Fire Safety Consultancy so I should know more than most, but I still don't, so I won't bore you with what are the requirements of the role.
But in a nutshell, it's pretty simple you'll need extensive experience within a consultancy where you've been the project leader on major building projects as well as the innate ability to lead a team of professional engineers. Actually, that doesn't sound that simple, guess that's why I'm advertising this in Australia. If you've read this far, well done, I must count myself fortunate there are a lot of bored people like me at the moment.
