Client Details Our client is a highly regarded Media company, with an opportunity available within the Melbourne team. Description Reporting to the Finance manager, you will be supporting the finance team, in so performing the following responsibilities: Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations; Assist in month-end procedures and journal entries; Managing the reallocation of expense between the Groups companies; Support in budgeting and forecasting of corporate overheads; To assist Corporate Head Office including involvement in month end reporting, budgeting, forecasting & statutory accounts; Responsibility of maintaining of fixed asset register; Prepare bank reconciliations; Liaising with the companies tax advisors and assisting with preparation of company Income Tax and FBT returns; Preparation of tax and administration compliance items including GST, Payroll Tax and Work-cover Preparation of vendor payments; Oversee the entry of invoices by accounts payable staff; Manage vendor reconciliation and communication.

Assist the preparation of the monthly payroll, including the reconciliation of timesheets and leave applications; Preparation of director fee payments Responsibility of preparation of BAS and other compliance. Profile An exciting opportunity for an up and coming accounting professional looking for a diverse industry based role. Flexibility in the role and the ability to communicate to all stakeholders is key.

The ideal candidate will be CA or CPA part-qualified, with the desire to learn and grow with the organisation. Taking initiative by improving processes and efficiencies is key, with exposure to the media industry a benefit for the role.
