Position Profile: This Advanced Trainee position in Refugee Health will offer two 6-month positions for 2021. Successful applicants will be required to provide comprehensive coordinated outpatient, emergency and inpatient care to paediatric refugee and asylum-seeker patients under the Consultant supervision, within the Perth Children’s Hospital Refugee Health Service. They may also provide clinical care in the WA Paediatric Tuberculosis Service and General Paediatrics (including Developmental Clinics).
They will act as a primary point of contact for paediatric refugee health issues and will assist in the coordination and development of these services, particularly in the field of education, clinical audit and protocol development. The Refugee Health Advanced Training position is accredited by the RACP Advanced Training Committees in (i) General Paediatrics for 6 months core community/developmental training and (ii) Community Child Health for Community-based multidisciplinary paediatrics/CCH core training time.
