St John of God Pinelodge Clinic is a 54 bed private psychiatric hospital in Dandenong, Victoria. St John of God Pinelodge Clinic is a teaching hospital with close links to Monash University. A variety of therapeutic offerings to treat depression/anxiety, alcohol & other drugs, personality disorders, psychosis, and non-dementia Registrars work closely with a key VMO in collaboration with a second Registrar Our extensive outpatient group therapy programs including: DBT, CBT, ACT; exposure and supervision to a range of modalities is offered About the Role The post is RANZCP accredited for trainees undertaking Generalist Stream Advanced Training, Adult Psychiatry Advanced Training; and Addiction Psychiatry Advanced Training Registrars are actively involved in the undergraduate teaching of Monash University medical students, and local educational programs Commonwealth funded position (ESTP), it does not involve after hours on call The successful Registrar will be responsible for providing psychiatric and medical services predominantly to inpatients under the supervision of a senior psychiatrist Opportunity to develop expertise with high-prevalence diagnostic groups in a private sector setting Excellent opportunities for development of Research, Leadership and Management skills.
These positions are also ideal training for candidates considering Private Practice The successful candidate will have: Registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical board of Australia (AHPRA) Current trainee with RANZCP with successful completion of basic training requirements. A minimum of two years clinical and procedural experience in Psychiatry Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills. Demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
