About Your Role We are currently seeking applications from experienced Hardware Integration Engineer’s to join our dynamic Air Space Mobility team based in Melbourne. The Hardware Integration Engineer is responsible for the provision of hardware integration activities for the respective project and bid activity.
You will provide Technical and resource supervisory input to Hardware integration and deployment engineering activities. Revise solution architecture drawings and diagrams, cost templates, the list of supply (LOS)/Bill of Material (BOM) and interfaces at the start of the project. Create/update hardware integration engineer contributions to the Solutions Specification and design documentation, hardware acceptance test procedures and other associated hardware integration documents.
Load configure, validate and hand over equipment to Software integration in the factory and on customer sites Attend design review with customers and provide customer training identify risks at solution architecture level and propose where possible alternate validated solutions Provide system and networking expertise useful in design How About You? Good level of knowledge and experience with UNIX/LINUX (Redhat distribution must) Operation System including Kernel configuration and performance tuning. Familiarity with a wide range of computer and networking hardware (Cisco) Work experience in a mission-critical, near real-time environment preferably ATC (Air Traffic Control) related highly desirable Experience in large and distributed networked computer systems highly desirable Scripting (TC/TK, Perl & Shell) Hardware Installation experience highly desirable Good to Know You’ll get an email acknowledgement after you’ve applied, Thales strives to provide a personalised experience for all suitable applicants.
