Estimator - Multi-residential/Commercial
Sydney Despite the current circumstance with Covid-19 impacting a lot of businesses, this particular client of ours are still quite busy with construction works. An established sub-contracting business ( which is a subsidiary of a larger developer/builder ) is currently in search for an Estimator to join their growing team in the CBD. Ideally, you will have a proven history in the Sydney market with experience working on projects within the multi-residential and commercial sector.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showcasing the ability to measure and quote across trades such as gyprocking, plastering, facade etc would be highly desirable. Reporting to: Operations Manager, General Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparation and submission of tenders Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness Tender negotiations Coordinate tender handover to project team Prepare budgets based on tender submission Assess and price contract variation orders Liaise with clients, head contractors, suppliers, consultants Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or similar Ideally 3-5 years post-graduate experience in a similar role - open to head contractor or sub-contractor background. Proven ability to tender on multiple projects simultaneously Able to read and understand plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to work within a team as well as autonomously Experience with Buildsoft cubit, bartender, Cost X, EstimateOne or Tradelink would be advantageous Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel This is an immediate, full-time position.
