EL2 - Inter-agency Taskforce Leader
The Organisation: Our client is a civilian led defence focused portfolio agency with a specific mandate that benefits defence, government, non-government and international organisations. The Opportunity: This is an opportunity for a communications and media professional to work closely with our client, allowing you to provide your knowledge and expertise to support each member of the advisory team, made up of key players from the AFP, ADF and DFAT. The role includes engagement and relationship building with stakeholders and developing communications focused on future projects and operations.
The Role: This opportunity has been created to provide consolidation and guidance for the leaders of our clients Inter-Agency Taskforce. The role has several key deliverables: Deliver high quality written reports for publication Identify key priorities for the agency and its stakeholders Manage ongoing projects, plus the initiation of several complex subsidiary projects. Liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders This position is being offered on a 6 month contract with possibility of further extension.
The Person: To be the successful candidate for this role, you will be a strong project manager with excellent interpersonal skills to conduct conversations with key stakeholders. You'll also exhibit superior writing skills to turn the data collected into individual written reports and an aide memoire. You'll possess the following: Critical thinking and analytical skills Presentation and public speaking skills Research aptitude and the capacity to develop an understanding of the Australian defence and foreign policy environment Extensive knowledge of frameworks, government decision making, guidelines and regulations related to Australia's management of crisis and disaster offshore Negative Vetting 1 clearance or higher is also required.
