The Position: This senior clinical role supports the Nurse Unit Manager to manage midwifery services at BRHS. Key responsibilities include the provision of effective leadership and clinical expertise for the maternity assessment, birthing and in patient programs, clinical leadership and educational support for midwives and support to review and implement midwifery models of care.

The Department: Rotamah Ward is a 17 bed unit which provides care for medical, palliative, paediatric and midwifery clients. It also manages maternity outpatients and community based services and has two birthing suites and an ante-natal assessment room. Funding for a new family birthing centre was received in 2019.

This role offers a great chance to contribute to the planning and implementation of this new facility. What you need: To perform this role you need a minimum of 5 years midwifery experience at an advanced practice level and a masters level qualification in clinical midwifery (or equivalent). You will have clinical expertise in all areas of pregnancy and birth care and you will be an excellent leader who thrives on developing and supporting their team to achieve the highest level of person centred and safe midwifery care.
