Community Engagement Facilitator - North East Victoria Bushfire Recovery Victoria (BRV) is a new permanent Victorian Government agency with a mandate to work directly with communities to support their recovery after bushfire disaster. BRV takes a community-led approach to recovery, coordinating rebuilding and recovery and partnering with communities, governments, businesses and not-for-profit organisations to ensure recovery programs and services meet the needs of bushfire-affected communities, individuals and regions. BRV is seeking applications from suitably qualified applicants for the role of Community Engagement Facilitator in North East Victoria to lead engagement with local community recovery committees and other key community groups and organisations at place.
This role will work in partnership with local government to provide expert guidance and support to Community Recovery Committees, including on community recovery planning, governance and meeting facilitation. This is a key community-facing role that will build genuine partnerships between all levels of government and communities. This role reports to the Regional Recovery Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Director of Community Engagement and Advancement, to support a strong place-based, as well as state-wide, understanding of community recovery needs and priorities.
