To support our success, we are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join the Business Support Team in our Brisbane head office.

Initially offered as a temporary position for the first six months there is high likelihood this role could transition to permanent. What does this role involve? Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer is responsible for managing and administering the end to end payroll of monthly, fortnightly and weekly Sedgman Pty Limited and subsidiary payrolls. You will also be responsible for the calculation, remittance & reporting of staff deductions and payroll on-costs such as superannuation, payroll tax, group tax and long service leave to third parties.

Additionally, you will be responsible for processing cyclical and ad hoc payroll requirements such as payment summaries, terminations and other processes as required. What are we looking for? To be considered for this role you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role delivering payroll to a medium to large sized organisation. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication and time management skills, demonstrated experience working in a team environment and the ability to work in a dynamic environment that values continuous process improvement.

Recent SAP experience and advanced Excel skills will be necessary for you to complete your tasks efficiently. Experience in Coal LSL and/or international payroll would be highly advantageous.
