Payroll Officer required for a large centralised payroll, to be based in the Melbourne CBD (working from home initially) We are recruiting exclusively for a large shared payroll function for a multi-site organisation based in the heart of Melbourne CBD. Reporting to the payroll team leader and working in a team that will carry out payroll for 270 sites and roughly 18,000 employees under 1 EBA. You will be an integral part of the team and will take on a portfolio of a number of sites, which you will have ownership over paying.
Responsibilities will include: Learning the specifics of the EBA and the processes of the organisation. Onboarding new employees into the system and entering variations to employment records. Processing termination requests and payments.
Ensuring that correct PAYG is withheld on payments. Process salary deductions. Updating persona leave entitlements.
Updating master details with increments to next levels of increment and increment dates. Calculating and processing pro-rata entitlements for holiday pay and leave loading. Validating data entry and imports and payroll reports.
Variance analysis on payroll reports. Query resolution with business units / sites. Calculating backpays and processing correction pays.
Preparing month end reports, reconciling payroll deductions. Preparing payments for payroll related payments. What we are looking for: We are looking for someone who has the following competencies: A strong customer service focus.
Collaborative and open engagement styles towards sites. Strong query resolution skills. Clear written communication skills and able to explain payroll complexities to non-payroll stakeholders and administrators on site.
