Technical Specialist, Injury Management (Workers Compensation)



CLOSER BRAVER FASTER The Role The purpose of this role is to ensure that there is appropriate, timely and cost-effective intervention in place for files at risk of long-term impairment. This includes building effective relationships with internal and external customer and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Drive best practice injury claims management through claims review processes, staff coaching/training, provider partnerships, process improvements, projects, and more Optimise claims and portfolio outcomes via best practice injury management Recommend and lead claims initiatives to enhance segment purpose and outcomes Identify injury management shortfalls and implement frameworks to address them Ensure claims in your allocated team and portfolio have a current and appropriate strategy for RTW/Health, Treatment, and Occupational Rehabilitation Coach and educate claims staff to enhance claims practice and outcomes Coordinate and lead claims conferencing processes with rehabilitation providers to expedite work and health outcomes Provide advice and support to customers and regulators as needed Lead and support business projects as required Lead and support regulator engagements and projects as required Adhere to all relevant legislation and regulatory guidelines Reinforce IAG’s reputation as a best practice provider of personal injury claims services Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification/s in an Allied Health discipline.

3 years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation and/or allied health clinical experience. Experience interpreting and communicating complex medical information and best practice injury management strategies.
