As a software engineer in our connector team, you'll work on the connection between HotDoc and third party systems: we're constantly syncing data back and forth with thousands of our customers, and have to ensure its reliability, performance and security in the face of distributed system challenges, unpredictable user environments, and non-standard third party protocols. You'll be working on our app for Windows that integrates with third patient management systems, safely adds to their records, and syncs data up to HotDoc. For example, you might work with doctors to understand a work flow in their Practice Management System.
You would figure out how to detect changes to the relevant data and sync it to HotDoc, usually involving some SQL and Node.js. You would then iterate to ensure that our view of the data accurately reflects the doctor's expectations for what it represents.
