The Purchasing Officer will be tasked to handle additional local and international buying duties on behalf of my client. Client Details My client is a large servide provider to the Maritime and Defense industries of Australia. Description Raising purchase orders for inventory and consumables accurately and timely.
Day-to-day local and international purchasing Liaise with sales reps, suppliers and other stakeholders Maintenance of purchase orders that require any system update with ETA, Pricing or other notification changes as advised. Follow up outstanding purchase orders with suppliers that are due to be received and update the system as appropriate Monitor outstanding orders and requisitions Confirm all orders placed with suppliers have been received by the supplier and are accepted as accurate and update the ERP with any amendments (as approved) to the purchase order Liaise with Accounts Payable to rectify to ensure invoices are processed promptly Provide prompt and efficient service and direct any enquiries to the appropriate department / person Administrative and basic accounting/finance duties Relationship Management Profile Experience high volume purchasing for local and overseas products Purchasing experience for a large product catalogue Previous experience in a similar role Knowledge of Pronto Strong computer literacy - Excel Experience with Inventory Control Sound verbal and written communication skills Basic accounting/finance background Certificate in Purchasing desirable Job Offer An exciting career opportunity and the chance to grow their career in International buying.
