New Graduate Speech Pathologist
An excellent opportunity is available for a new graduate Speech Pathologist, with no previous employment, to join the team of Speech Pathologists at Royal North Shore & Ryde hospitals. This full-time temporary 12-month locum provides an opportunity for a clinician to consolidate and enhance their graduating skills in a supportive but clinically challenging setting. The new graduate position is well supported with regular departmental and district level professional development opportunities, direct and formal supervision by a senior clinician and has opportunities throughout the year to participate in quality improvement activities.
The clinician also has opportunities to develop competencies in the areas of Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES), Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS), Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy throughout this locum and to gain experience in specialiy areas, such as burns, spinal and paediatric feeding. Employment Type : Temporary Full Time until 22 January 2021 Position Classification : Speech Pathologist Level 1 Remuneration : $1231.72 - $1450.
08 per week Hours Per Week : 38 Requisition ID : REQ137701 What you'll be doing Provide assistance and support to the Allied Health (AH) team in the delivery of an efficient and high quality AH Service to patients of the speech pathology department across Royal North Shore (RNS) and Ryde Hospitals. This position is based at RNS and assists with the daily management of the acute medical inpatient population. The main purpose of this position is to provide accurate assessment and intervention for inpatients with swallowing and communication disorders within these key area and selective outpatients within the local government area.
