Regional Coordinator, Social Connectedness Program

About the Role Focused on the core functions of Volunteer Recruitment/Coordination, Client Management/Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building, the Social Connectedness Regional Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day to day delivery of the Social Connectedness Program. The position involves the recruitment, training, support, matching and development of volunteers who will provide a range of support options to the eligible target group in order to promote their social connectedness. You will be responsible for implementing and operating the Social Connectedness Program in the relevant region.
You will also be responsible to conduct interviews & assessments of referred clients, advise clients of outcomes, conduct home risk assessment as necessary, review client progress in the Program, maintain accurate records and provide accurate, timely reports as required. What you will bring Experience in recruiting, managing and working with volunteers Experience in the implementation and coordination of volunteer led community programs Strong affinity and experience with the target group of frail older persons Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including with people from a wide range of backgrounds Ability to develop and deliver innovative service and strategic initiatives within budget constraints Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships at all levels Current Australian driverâ€™s licence The benefits Work for an organisation that makes a difference in the lives of people and communities during times of vulnerability.
