At Life Without Barriers we have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing NDIS Support Co-ordination team in South Australia. this position is offered as a full time 12 month contract with the possibility of extension based at the Unley office. Specialist Support Coordinators play a critical role in supporting participants with complex needs to navigate the NDIS system, understand their NDIS plans, connect into the broader system of services and to build their capacity to direct their supports independently over time.

About the role As a Specialist Support Co-coordinator, you will utilise your specialist practice skills and knowledge to work with multiple stakeholders to support participants to address barriers and reducing complexity in their support environment. This may include resolving points of crisis and developing a complex service plan for a coordinated approach to service delivery.
You will assist NDIS participants to coordinate and implement a range of support services, in line with their NDIS plan to reach their goals and live a fulfilling life. You will also be required to establish strong rapport and working relationships with a range of stakeholders including People with Disability & their family members, NDIS Local Area Coordinators, NDIS Planners, internal and external service providers. You will have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to respond to the needs, feedback and enquiries of NDIS participants and their carers where appropriate in a sensitive and supportive manner.
In addition to this, you will have an understanding of NDIS legislation and guidelines and the ability to apply these to best practice service delivery.
