Hotel Receptionist - Regional Western Australia



Starting November 18th, a hotel in Newman, Western Australia (1300kms North of Perth) is looking for a Receptionist for a 5-6 month (minimum) position. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for hotel guests, so this person must have a cheerful personality and good interpersonal communication skills. The role will include handling bookings via phone and internet, cash handling, till balancing, housekeeping record keeping and reports, and liasing with other departments throughout the day.

We are looking for someone with previous hotel reception experience and who is comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The hotel uses Medallion / roomMaster software, so applicants with previous experience using this software are preferred, however training can be provided for the right person. Shifts will vary between morning/early afternoon and afternoon/evenings, Sunday - Friday.

This is a casual position with a minimum of 36 hours per week guaranteed. Pay rates are: Monday-Friday: $26.90/hour Sunday: $36.

60/hour Public Holiday: $50.55/hour Accommodation is provided for $75/week in a shared staff house with your own room including a tv and fridge. Living areas and the bathroom are shared.

There's a grocery store, pool and library within walking distance of the house. This job counts towards visa extension for people on a 462 Working Holiday visa. This job DOES NOT count for visa extension for people on a 417 Working Holiday visa (UK, Germany, Ireland, etc).
