Join a vibrant team supporting business and clinical solutions for a leading healthcare provider Opportunity to develop skills across a large technology spread Located in Richmond, close to CBD and public transport The Role An exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join a vibrant team as an Application Support Specialist within the Information Technology department. This role is responsible for level-3 technical support and maintenance of business and clinical applications used across the organisation. These will include applications installation, configuration, testing, upgrade, and troubleshooting application-related incidents/problems.

The position also serves as an escalation point of contact for advanced application support issues, and is required to be able to handle complex issues related to supporting a large number of widely differing application systems and large data sets. The applications may include, but are not limited to TechOne ERP system, Chris21 HR & Payroll System, iPM Patient Administration Systems (PAS), BossNet Scanned Medical Record systems, and Clinical Healthcare applications. The role will also be required to work with users across a broad range of areas within the hospital to understand IT issues and requirements, as well as collaborate with Information Technology team members and vendors to deliver the right application solutions that support business objectives, and to ensure their alignment with overall Enterprise Architecture, technology strategies, and governance frameworks.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role you will have: Strong technical experience and knowledge in supporting critical business systems in large organisations Intermediate MS SQL programming skills and understanding of relational databases Intermediate programming and scripting skills using a variety of programming/scripting languages Ability to implement, support, and maintain applications in Windows Server environments Ability to analyse and problem solve application issues Some knowledge of project management and/or exposure to project based work Ability to communicate ideas in a user friendly language Experience delivering high quality customer service and change management Demonstrated technical and practical documentation skills Ability to show initiative, exercise good judgment and achieve results Good interpersonal skills Experience and strong working knowledge of hospitals, hospital systems and processes are desirable Epworth Healthcare Epworth HealthCare is Victoria’s largest not for profit private hospital group dedicated to providing the best possible outcomes for our patients by providing the best possible care.
