Alinjarra Primary School (PS) School is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students. The successful applicant will possess exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated and enthusiastic.
Applicants must have the ability to work in a team environment and have a commitment to explicit teaching. To be successful for this role, you will possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school's business and operational plans. The successful applicant will ideally have the knowledge and experience to embed whole school programs, which include Letters and Sounds, Talk for Writing and PBS (Positive School Support).
The Early Childhood Teacher will ideally be a team player, with an enthusiastic approach to engaging students to do their best. You will be expected to demonstrate data-driven teaching practices and a good understanding of how to establish a positive classroom environment, fostering high care and expectations. Our school provides a safe, caring and inclusive environment for students, which offers a full, student-centred curriculum and encourages strong community participation.
Catering for Kindergarten to Year 6 students, our community consists of a variety of nationalities with over 30 different languages spoken by our families. Our staff are friendly, experienced, passionate and committed to improving the outcomes for our students, with most staff being long-serving members of the school community. We have a collaborative team approach to teaching, with a focus on developing Professional Learning Communities to improves outcomes for our students.
A wide range of learning activities is offered across the curriculum including science, drama, music, and Italian. Gifted and Talented students are also catered for in a variety of programmes including Primary Extension and Challenge Program and Junior Extension for Talented Students (JETS). The school is part of the River Rangers project where Year 6 students are learning how to protect the Swan River and local environs.
