Department of Education Independent Public School - Southwest Education Region Collie Senior High School Teacher - Education Support 00000501 Teacher, $70,137 - $105,049 per annum (SEA GA 2017) Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH606155 This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2020 Collie Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a proactive and dedicated individual to join their team as an Education Support Teacher. We seek an individual who can cater for the individual needs of each student in a caring and inclusive way. Our students require Individual Pathway Planning which includes the opportunity for them to achieve their potential and be well placed for post school destinations.
The school offers a range of ASDAN courses to provide a comprehensive curriculum to all students. Familiarity with these and the requirements around them will be beneficial to this position. To be successful in this role you will be able to engage students in hands on activities and project based learning in keeping with our focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The successful applicant should also be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively within the Education Support Area and work effectively with other staff, including Education Assistants. Providing a safe, efficient and effective learning environment is a key priority for this position. As a school promoting Positive Behaviour Supports the ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in providing an engaging, student-centred curriculum encouraging students to be their best.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a quality school within the Southwest. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy.
