Your role You're far from home on a major multi-service training exercise. The Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter you serviced under canvas this morning is preparing for takeoff.

The success of its mission now relies on the quality of your work. This is no ordinary mechanic job, and the Army is no ordinary employer. In the Army you’ll work with advanced aircraft such as the ARH-Tiger and MRH-90 helicopters and enjoy work variety that's rarely found in civilian trades.

One day could see you testing and repairing ancillary aircraft equipment and the next could have you airborne, assisting with flight tests. Your comprehensive training will equip you to work on: engines hydraulics airframes safety equipment, and flight controls. You'll also learn to maintain technical manuals and maintenance records.

The tools and equipment you’ll use will be among the best available, and your 'workshop' could be on an Army base, in the field on exercises, or even overseas on deployments.
