The opportunity: The Transport Optimization Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities throughout the Toll group to eliminate duplication and inefficiency through people, process improvements and completing analysis of various solutions and options, including systems solutions where relevant.

Key to the success of this role will be the ability to support, engage and align with the various business units including IT, HR and other key areas to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and meet business requirements. Key to the success of this role will be the ability to engage with stakeholders across different levels of the business. This must be done in line with ensuring the focus areas and activities of the business unit are holistically carried out in line with Group 'One Toll' strategy.

Furthermore, the values and the Toll single strategy must be enabled through ensuring a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence is in place. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Align to project management principles in ensuring a smooth transition to a centralised Optimisation function. Lead the analysis of operational activities across all GOS business units to identify opportunities to eliminate duplication and inefficiency.

Develop business and operational processes and create relevant documentation to support testing and organisational change management. Create and execute on project plans in support of optimisation projects. Produce high quality, accurate outputs and deliver to agreed project plans and budget across all Optimisation projects and initiatives.

Execute on all Linehaul Optimisation project plans to optimise asset and resource utilisation in order to reduce Toll Group spend on Linehaul operations. Assist with the testing and training process of system implementations. Support the implementation of system solutions and Optimisation projects.

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have: Minimum of 3 years' experience in Logistics/ Transport Management Minimum of 2 years' experience in applying Supply Chain Principles Experience in delivering large transformational projects across multiple functions Advanced level excel skillset Understanding of Project Management Principles would be advantageous Understanding of Linehaul compliance & regulatory requirements C.
