Salary and Conditions Permanent Full-Time Position Salary Range $75,793 - $88,084 Per Annum, based on the skills and experience of the successful applicant 9.5% Superannuation 35 Hour Week, with Flex Time System A leaseback vehicle is available with this position; however this is not a condition of employment. Health and Wellbeing Programs Ongoing Learning and Development Opportunities About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Strategic Planner to join Council’s Strategic Planning Section.
The successful applicant is require to undertake a range of Strategic Planning task which include, but is not limited to; preparing planning proposals, local planning instruments, development control plans and other policies and administrative protocols as required. Essential Completion or near completion of Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline. Proven relevant experience in a similar role.
Working knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant legislation. Ability to work as a member of a team of professionals. Ability to assess political situations and respect the political role of the Elected Members.
Ability and willingness to undertake community engagement activities including out of hours meetings and functions. Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
