Principal Planner



Accountabilities include: • Work with key stakeholders to deliver passenger transport and park ‘n' ride business cases as part of the Transport System Planning Program (TSPP), ensuring that all planning is undertaken in a multi-modal, integrated, affordable and value for money context. • Support the Manager (Infrastructure Planning) in developing the forward passenger transport planning program (0-2yrs approved and 3-4yrs indicative) that supports downstream passenger transport delivery programs (services and infrastructure). • Represent TransLink as a content expert on passenger transport infrastructure projects both internally and externally to the department and be a key member on technical working groups.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to help develop and maintain effective working relationships with local governments, passenger transport service providers, Queensland Rail, shopping centres and departmental divisions. • Provide advice to the Manager (Infrastructure Planning) and other officers in relation to project risks, issues and opportunities. • Demonstrate strong industry knowledge of current transport, infrastructure and land use planning across all levels of government.

• Draft ministerial correspondence, project reports, presentations, briefing notes, submissions and other general correspondence. • Contribute to a positive working environment for the division, including participating in ongoing business improvement processes and assisting other team members. • Actively participating in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.

This role reports to the Manager (Infrastructure Planning). Applications to remain current for 12 months..
