State Radiologist (BreastScreen Queensland)
The role Reporting to the Director, Cancer Screening Unit, you will be responsible for providing expertise in breast imaging and interventional techniques, reading and assessment services and clinical leadership for the BreastScreen Queensland program. You will also have the opportunity to champion innovative service delivery and clinical research trials. In addition, you will develop and deliver training programs for new and existing readers and manage the quality and performance of radiology services including leading and participating in regular auditing for the program and participate in relevant governance fora.
The successful person You will have demonstrable experience in applying your specialist expertise and knowledge to breast imaging and interventional techniques. You will be solutions focused with a problem solving background and can speak to your experiences in collaboratively and effectively facilitating solutions. You will have a proven track record in leading quality improvement activities as part of a multidisciplinary team and possess high level oral and written communication skills.
Candidates must hold current medical registration with APHRA and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Candidates must also be eligible for statewide credentialing in reading, assessment and medical administration in the BreastScreen Queensland program. It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B.
