Ongoing full time role RFS Level 8/9 Location: Sydney Olympic Park Vacancy reference: 19/76 About the NSW Rural Fire Service The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW. Working closely with other agencies we respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and storms that occur within rural fire districts. Our vision and mission is to provide a world standard of excellence in the provision of a community-based fire and emergency service.

To protect the community and our environment we will minimise the impact of fire and other emergencies by providing the highest standards of training, community education, prevention and operational capability. About the role The role is the primary contact for all matters regarding the training and support of our document and records management system (currently HPE Content Manager 9).

This involves: - Developing training programs and materials to be delivered through a variety of medium including but not limited to face-to-face training and eLearning modules - Delivery of training throughout NSW - Assisting end users - Ensuring the integrity of the system - Liaising with internal and external technical support - Consulting stakeholders Key challenges include: - Providing support across a devolved and diverse organisation - Assisting with technological issues including troubleshooting, system upgrades and investigating future options - Understanding legislative and business requirements and translating this into system management To be successful in this role, you must meet the following essential requirements: - A Diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise. - A drivers licence and the ability to travel. - During periods of major fire activity, the incumbent may be required to support operational management activities consistent with their skills and background.
